Lent is a time for all of us to do a bit of soul-searching and reflection. Lent is also a time of preparing ourselves for Easter. By observing the 40 days of Lent we are reflecting deeply on the final days of Jesus. Our reflecting takes place in many ways: through worship, through prayer, through fasting, and through Bible study.

Starting Wednesday, February 22, I will be leading a Bible study titled 24 Hours that Changed the World. The purpose of this study is to help us better understand the events that occurred during the last 24 hours of Jesus’ life and to see more clearly the theological significance of Christ’s suffering. The study was written by Adam Hamilton and copies of the book are available in the church office for a cost of $15. The study group will meet in the Lounge at 9:00 AM every Wednesday morning during the Lenten season.
